Burra is a historic town located in the Mid-North region of South Australia, located just outside the town center is this old 1920s sandstone cottage.

The cottage is famous for its rich history over the years and the Australian Pioneers that built and lived here.

I captured and composed this shot in the middle of a dry summer’s day with a colour temperature in the 40s. The rolling hills of Burra in the background and the old cottage brought this image to life.

I used a two-stop soft grad filter to bring the sun-drenched blue sky into balance with the dry wheat grass in the foreground.
