Uluru is Australia’s second largest sandstone Monolith located in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is one of Australia’s most famous landmarks and a sacred site for the Anangu people, the traditional owners of the land.
Uluru is approximately 3.6 kilometers long and stands 348 meters above the surrounding desert. It is known for its changing colors at different times of the day, with shades of red, orange, and purple appearing during sunrise and sunset.
The Anangu people have lived in the area for tens of thousands of years and have a deep spiritual connection to the land and the surrounding rock formations. Visitors to Uluru are asked to respect the cultural significance of the area and are encouraged to learn about the traditions and beliefs of the Anangu people.
The name says it all Uluru Storm captured and composed this image at sunset just as a Desert Storm swept through the Kata Tjuta National Park.
With the camera setup on the tripod and waiting for an epic shot, I was graced with partial pink storm clouds protruding through the sky above, and the ancient sacred ground turned bright red where I was standing.
This is one of my best captures of Uluru and best sellers. The image has been used for USA Billboards promoting Australia, Corporate Australian Companies, and many collectors worldwide.
