I was fortunate to find myself in the perfect position beneath a 7-8ft wave to capture this side image of the breaking tide. The force of the vortex pressed down on me as I worked to get the shot. Photographing waves underwater is a truly magical experience. The way light dances through the water, illuminating the intricate details of each crashing and tumbling wave, is simply breathtaking. Although challenging, capturing these moments rewards me with stunning images that convey the ocean’s essence and power.
